The following terms of use provide an overview of our rules and expectations for all members of our community. They apply to Emberstorm, the community Discord server, our forums, and all other official platforms. Please keep in mind that on Felborne, you are part of a shared project! We want to build and maintain a vibrant, respectful, and friendly community. Therefore, treat others with respect and enjoy your time in the world of Azeroth!
On Felborne, we place great importance on players coming together, building communities, and playing together. To maintain a friendly and family-oriented environment on our server, certain rules apply. These include, among other things, naming conventions and communication in chat, and are intended to help create a harmonious and enjoyable gaming atmosphere for everyone.
Cheating, hacking, or the use of third-party software is prohibited
Any form of cheating, hacking, or the use of third-party software to gain an unfair advantage over other players is strictly prohibited. This includes the use of bots, aimbots, wallhacks, or other unauthorized means to alter the game or gain an unfair advantage.
The following is considered bug abuse and is prohibited on our network
Exploiting game mechanics or bugs to gain an unfair advantage or exploit unintended features is not permitted. This includes any form of bug exploitation, bug abuse, or other actions that detract from the intended gameplay experience.
The following is considered real-money trading (RMT) and is prohibited on our network
Purchasing gold, items, accounts, names, boosts, or other services with real money or donation tokens. Trading gold between realms.
Multiboxing
Multiboxing refers to running multiple WoW clients simultaneously, whether on a single computer or across multiple devices. On Emberstorm, multiboxing is generally permitted as long as it remains within fair play.
However, there are clear restrictions: Using multiple accounts is prohibited in Finder Parties (LFTs). Likewise, it is not permitted to gain an unfair advantage through multiboxing in any way, for example, in PvE or PvP contexts. Violations of this rule may be punished accordingly. Our goal is to ensure a fair and balanced gaming experience for everyone. Please adhere to these guidelines and use multiboxing responsibly.
Account Sharing or Selling
Sharing or selling accounts is not permitted. This includes giving your account information to other players or selling your account for real money.
Griefing or Disruptive Behavior
Disrupting other players' gameplay is not allowed. This includes stealing their loot or any other action that impairs their gameplay.
Loot Rules, Gambling, and Fraud
Agreements are binding. All players are expected to reliably honor agreed-upon trade agreements without subsequent changes. This includes clear guidelines regarding loot distribution, gambling, and fraudulent behavior. Intentionally withholding materials or demanding higher rewards after the fact is considered fraud and is prohibited on our server. Established loot rules are binding for the entire duration of an instance and may not be unilaterally changed. When using the LFT tool, the configured loot distribution is automatically considered accepted. Offers related to gambling or similar services may only take place and be advertised in designated goblin cities such as Ratchet, Booty Bay, Everview, or Gadgetzan.
Prohibited Names or Designations
Designations that refer to well-known real-life individuals such as politicians, activists, or religious leaders are prohibited.
Names with a political, religious, or otherwise controversial connotation are also prohibited.
Any names that are offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory, such as those related to extremism, sexism, or racism, are prohibited.
Highly vulgar or explicitly sexual names are also prohibited.
Guilds may not use names that include real-world countries or nations.
Chat, Language, and General Communication
We place great importance on a respectful and pleasant tone in all areas of our community. Therefore, we expect communication on all platforms to be free of insults, hate speech, political discussions, or other content that promotes conflict. In addition, spam and advertising of any kind are prohibited.
Felborne Staff
Please treat our team with respect at all times, even if you disagree with a decision. Personal attacks or abusive behavior towards team members are not permitted and may result in consequences, including account suspension.
It is not permitted to impersonate staff members or other players in any way. This includes using similar names, claiming to be a staff member, or any other form of impersonation.
